Buying beats
What do the licences mean?
Every beat is sold with a licence written in plain words. Basic starts from $10, then Standard, Pro and Unlimited, and Exclusive makes you the only owner at a price the producer sets. Open any beat to read exactly what each licence allows before you pay. The licence wording is a draft until a lawyer has approved it.
Can I hear a beat before I buy?
Yes. Every beat has a short preview with the EasyBeats voice tag. Previews play on the site and cannot be downloaded. The full files are for buyers only.
Can I buy the same beat twice?
No. You can hold one licence per beat. Contact support if you need something different.
Where are my files after I buy?
In My library: your files and your licence document, available to download whenever you need them.
Custom beats made for you
What is a custom beat request?
You pick a producer, tell them what you want, and attach your vocal. If they accept, they make a beat around your song. Custom requests are available for the Pro, Unlimited and Exclusive licences.
How does the money work?
When the producer accepts, you pay the full agreed price and EasyBeats holds it. A fixed 15% service and handling fee stays with EasyBeats. The rest is the producer's share. 40% of it is released after EasyBeats checks the producer's first draft against your brief, and that part cannot be refunded. The other 60% is released when you approve the finished beat.
How long does the producer have?
14 days from payment. At the deadline you decide: give 5 more days, or cancel. Time spent waiting for EasyBeats to check the first draft, or for you to review, does not count against the producer.
Can I ask for changes?
Yes, 5 revisions at a time. When you use all 5 you can add 5 more, as many times as you like before the deadline. When you approve or ask for a change you write a short comment, and the producer reads it.
What if we disagree?
If a producer disagrees with a cancellation or a rejection, they can open a dispute. EasyBeats reads the conversation, listens to the files and makes the final decision. The money stays held until then.
Is real money taken yet?
Not yet. Card payments are being connected. Until they are, the site runs in test mode and nobody is charged.
Selling on EasyBeats
Who can sell?
Anyone can create a producer account. Every producer sets their own prices inside the licence ranges.
What are the plans?
Free: free for the first year, up to 10 items, 5% commission. Basic: $3.50 a month, or $35 for a whole year paid at once, unlimited items, 0% commission. Pro: $8.99 a month, or $99.99 for a whole year paid at once, unlimited items, 0% commission.
I play an instrument or make drum sounds. Where do I sell them?
As a pack, using New pack in your dashboard. A single instrument recording, a loop or a drum kit must not be sold as a beat. Samples listed as beats are taken down. Please keep sample prices very affordable so more artists can use your sounds.
Why was my beat suspended?
Beats that break the rules, for example a sample sold as a beat or music you do not have the right to sell, can be suspended. Write to support if you think it was a mistake.
